By Light Rail
When the new Central Corridor (Green Line) light rail line opens in 2014, it will connect downtown Minneapolis – and the existing Hiawatha (Blue) Line – with the U of M, Midway commercial district, State Capitol complex, downtown Saint Paul and neighborhoods in-between. In the meantime, take routes 16 or 50, which travel to the same destinations the Green Line will.
All Metro Transit buses and trains have bike racks so you can pedal for part of your trip and ride the rest of the way. Bike lockers are available for rent at many Park & Ride lots, light rail stations and other Twin Cities locations. Learn more at metrotransit.org/bike.
If you can’t complete your trip by bus or train, consider sharing the ride in a carpool or vanpool. Visit metrotransit.org/rideshare to get started.
