About

The Green Line (previously known as the Central Corridor) is a vibrant and culturally diverse region of businesses. Each unique district on the Green Line has compelling stories and experiences to offer.

On the Green Line celebrates and supports all the businesses and business districts along the region’s newest light rail line, the Green Line. The business districts include the West Bank, Stadium Village, and Prospect Park in Minneapolis; and the Raymond Creative Enterprise Zone, The Midway, Historic Frogtown, Historic Rondo, Little Mekong, Rice Street North End, and the Lowertown Artist District in St. Paul. All of these districts are exciting and alluring destinations in and of themselves, with unique restaurants, retailers, service businesses, entertainment venues and much more.

Very soon, in the spring of 2014, the construction of the Light Rail Transit Green Line will be a distant memory. In its place will be the sounds of the modern urban landscape: light rail cars carrying passengers to work, to ball games and to unique independent shops and large anchor stores from Saint Paul to Minneapolis.

Until then, remember that all of the unique and special businesses along the Green Line are eagerly awaiting your business. In fact, now — during light rail construction — is when these businesses would welcome you the most! Up and down the 11 miles of the Green Line, you will find businesses owned by the same families for generations, as well as new and well-established businesses owned by newcomers to our nation. Just think: you can go around the world in 11 miles in a microcosm of modern Minnesota!

Explore the Directory of businesses along the Green Line. Before you get your car’s oil changed somewhere else, check the directory first. Flip through it to find a great Thai restaurant for lunch, or when you need a haircut, or when you need to buy a new suit. Along the Green Line, you should find just about anything you might need.

We think you’ll find that supporting Green Line businesses is the ultimate win/win — great products and services for you, and a needed boost for our local, hard-working business owners.
